The New Garden Square project aims to create approximately 500,000 sq ft of Grade A office space, up to 400 residential apartments, and up to 2,400 sq m of retail space. Similarly, the Soho Wharf development in the Soho Loop section of the Mainline Canal has secured planning permission for 750 new homes, including 650 apartments and 102 townhouses. These projects form part of the Greater Icknield Masterplan, which aims to transform brownfield sites to the west of the city centre, attracting fresh talent and investment into Birmingham.
