Lender eases deposit requirements

This week in property investment news Adam Posen from the MPC suggested capital gains tax and stamp duty should increase in line with inflation. The government wants to put an end to housing boom and bust, is this the way to go for deposit requirements?

Average house prices went up for the seventh consecutive month but many economists predicts a drop in 2010. Is this a cause for concern or is this the nature of supple and demand?
